Barb & Jodi
Barb and I are heading to New York City to participate in the Parkinson’s Unity Walk. The date is April 28th.
Why we are walking: I was diagnosed with PD July 14, 2006 at the age of 49. My friend Barb Stonecipher and I have raised funds locally in our home state of Illinois for the past 8 years. I came to the unity walk in 2011 with two friends. We were so moved by participating in his terrific event. I promised myself I would be back. So here I am!
Who I’m walking for: Walking and raising funds and awareness for research is my chance to help my fellow PD friends and families. I walk for myself and a good friend who passed a few weeks ago.
Why I support the Parkinson’s Unity Walk: 100% of donations go to research. The Parkinson’s Unity Walk is the largest grassroots event in the U.S., raising funds and awareness for research.
There is strength in numbers so please help me raise funds and awareness for Parkinson’s disease research!!
