Stepping out for Parkinson's event was started in 2011. The idea began one day while I was driviing to Burlington, WI to visit my Dad. Once there I mentioned the idea of coordinating an event to raise awareness and funds for Parkinson's disease research. Knowing the kind of person I am (quiet and reserved) he wondered if I was serious. When he realized I was, he was excited and very supportive. When he attended the event he was so proud of me. When trying to speak to thank people for all of their help, I spotted my Dad in the crowd and looking into his eyes, that was it for me. Tears ran down my cheeks. My speaking career was over. My Dad has always been one of my biggest fans. Unfortunately I lost him on September 3, 2014. The walk on June 14, 2015 will be the first without him in my corner. Please consider coming to this event. Bring you famly and friends and help raise awareness for Parkinson's disease. It is a cause dear to my heart and my Dad's as he lost a brother with Parkinson's and left behind a daughter with Parkinson's

Thank you!
